EKOTEMAS Magazine

Introduction

Ekotemas is a serialized scientific publication of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC). Its objective is to disseminate the scientific results of Cuban economists and accountants and their impact on the development of the country as well as the implementation of guidelines and to show the main international trends in the economic sciences.

Problem

The need to update the existing magazine, incorporating a set of contents that are essential requirements for the EKOTEMAS digital magazine to be certified and indexed in referenced databases.

Solution to Ekotemas

A redesign of the digital magazine was carried out, with a modern proposal in accordance with the standards for certification. A website based on Open Journal System was developed, which allows the visualization and management of the different issues published, in addition to implementing the entire editorial flow for the publication of scientific articles defined by the Editorial Board of the Magazine, from the online submission of articles to their review and publication.
